Your Special Education Advocate. I am here to help your scholars reach their highest educational potential.

At the start of my career, I was a preschool teacher. Simultaneously my younger sister was born. It was during this time I noticed the staggering difference between neurotypical children and those that are neurodiverse. After quite some time of my sister not meeting milestones and benchmarks, I was able to urge my mother to go around the medical and educational professionals to have my sister assessed. It was then that she was diagnosed with autism. In helping to advocate for my sister, my career path took a shift into working in corporate America, and later in becoming a LIHTC property manager and director. Throughout my career I have been able to directly witness the beginning moments of those with educational disabilities and the ending results in adulthood if proper interventions aren't put in place. Those end results are quite less than ideal if proper advocacy is not done throughout that scholar's educational career.

As a mother of a little boy, I know the importance of proper advocacy, early interventions, and collaborative and positive relationships with all school personnel to facilitate a great and lasting experience for the family. Through my varying services from simple mediation to IEP and 504 Plan initiation and implementation, I am able to facilitate these desirable experiences and results for you and your scholar.

  • Associate / Advocate

I am a mama of two outstanding (not so little) humans. My sons are unique thinkers and teach me something new every day. I became an Advocate because I have always had a passion for children, I always found myself speaking up for people whose voices were diminished and always desired to empower people in the way I would want someone to try to reach and teach me.

Those core tenants led me to teach Exceptional Education for several years, working with pre-k and kindergarten children with needs. My core vision of educational equity for all became even more personal for me when I began advocating for my own children’s education. I realized that there are countless families who want more for their scholars, just as I do, but they don't have the knowledge-base or access to resources that enables them to advocate alone. I find purpose in helping families navigate the, often overwhelming, process of accessing all the resources, tools, support, and services that their scholars are entitled to.
